its been a long gap and i missed the opening week,

some hunches for the weekend,

it is good that england is not featuring this time as i somehow end up supporting them,though spain has always been the underdog that i wanted to win,from the days of luis enrique and hierro,raul and morientes.
this time,they seem to be among the favourites.

the coach of the cupwinning side in 03 was a uniquely focussed and confident person,i cant recall his name.he looked more like a manager of a chess team.

i remember him from the days at as roma.
i remember marcello lippi at juventus and carlo ancellotti at ac milan were like ferguson at manu,longtimers.
now,ive realised that capello is more vintage ac milan having won the european cup in 94.
desailly was later at chelsea,i cant remember where he was in between.
is desailly the guy who won the champions league with three different teams.
the lack of football viewing in the last two years has dimmed a lot of memories.
